Shaping People, Shaping Business
In 1904, Alpha Kappa Psi was founded on the principles of educating its members and the public to appreciate and demand higher ideals in business and to further the individual welfare of members during college and beyond.
College men and women everywhere are discovering that Alpha Kappa Psi is much more than just another organization or club—it is a unique, prestigious association of students, professors, graduates and professionals with common interests and goals. They join Alpha Kappa Psi to take advantage of valuable educational, friendship and networking opportunities.
In 1951, students at The University of Toledo founded the Gamma Eta Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi to distinguished themselves by size, but also by their commitment to service within the school and throughout the community. We have dedicated our time to such organizations as Ronald McDonald House, The MS Society, Cherry Street Mission and many more organizations in the community. In addition, our membership includes numerous activities that help us develop higher personal and professional ideals.
A Tradition of Excellence
The Gamma Eta Chapter at Toledo has a strong on-campus presence, with leaders in many different professional, social, and service organizations in addition to their work in Alpha Kappa Psi. A large majority of our members graduate with paid internship/full-time experience under their belts, and are ready to continue their growth as professional business leaders. As a Chapter, Gamma Eta has a history of excellence with high awards for Chapter performance from our international headquarters, along with high attendance at regional/national conferences and representation at Alpha Kappa Psi's most exclusive leadership program, The Academy.
